The Industry Consultation Day Workshop was arranged by Sidama IPDC in collaboration with GIZ Sustainable Training and Education Program (STEP) Agro –III Project on 17 November 2023 in YIAIP.
The 4th Round Agro Industry Consultation Day Workshop was executed successfully with the presence of International and local investors, Task Force members of Regional Organizations, colleges’ Deans, Financial institutions & so on.

The workshop was led by jointly with his excellence Mr Gosaye Godana, head of Sidama Industry Bureau and Dr Eyasu Nejo, Deputy CEO of Sidama IPDC.
On behalf of Sidama IPDC, Dr Eyasu Nejo briefly presented what has been done and so far in the park. On his presentation, he clearly indicated what was the success and challenges on the park, especially on operational activities and Infrastructures development.
Ms Daryin Von Maltitz, from GIZ Sustainable Training and Education Program (STEP) Agro –III Project presented what has been done by the project in and around the park. As it is clearly known that, the GIZ sustainable Training and Education Program (STEP-III) Project is providing support on need based prioritized capacity gaps in and around the Yirgalem IAIP and respective TVET colleges in Sidama Region. The project is providing the technical, financial as well the material support for training center in the park and the Skills upgrading to Supply the Skilled and Semi-Skilled Manpower.

The specific need-based training and skills upgrading of youth and women in the IAIP/RTC and their catchment in context of agro industrialization included Strengthening Sidama IPDC & TVETs to respond to agro-processing input market demand for enhance skills of youth and women in catchment of Yirgalem IAIP in Sidama region.
