Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industrial Park (Bulbula IAIP) is situated in the Oromia Region, strategically located between Lake Langano and Lake Abiyata in the heart of the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia. It is administered under the Oromia Industrial Parks Development Corporation (www.oipdc.org.et/).

Bulbula IAIP includes a bank, a waste treatment plant, a health clinic, a police station, training centres and managerial facilities. Bulbula IAIP is situated near to train transport, expressway (Mojo to Hawassa), capital city Addis Ababa airport, and Mojo Dry Port near to main road leading to Djibouti, many luxurious hotels and lodges at Adama, Bishoftu, Batu and Shashemene etc.

Bulbula IAIP plays an important role in the country’s economy, reducing poverty, creating a better environment for investors in agro-food processing and allied sectors, creating rural employment, off farm broad based income opportunities and improving quality of life in rural areas.

The RTCs are rural development initiatives of the Government of Ethiopia that not only facilitate inclusive rural development, but also serve as a linkage to Bulbula IAIP in terms of raw material supply. At the RTCs, agricultural produce is collected, sorted, stored and may undergo primary processing before onward transport. For most farmers, the RTCs are the main point of contact with commercial agricultural value chains.
