The Federal Integrated Agro Industry Park Steering Committee assessed the park’s achievements and established its future direction.

A performance evaluation was carried out by the Federal Integrated Agro-Industry Parks Steering Committee, which is presided over by the Ministry of Industry.
The primary goals of the meeting were to determine future priority areas and evaluate the integrated agro industry parks’ existing status.
A report on the current state of the parks was provided and discussed during the discussion by Admasu Yifru, the Ministry of Industry’s chief executive of infrastructure and capacity building, and the performance of development partner organizations by Dr. Michael from UNIDO.
According to the industry minister, Minister Mr. Melaku Alebel, integrated agro industry parks are crucial to modernizing the manufacturing sector as part of the nation’s home-grown economic reform. He stated that the IAIPs has performed well in terms of infrastructure, luring investors, expanding the value chain, governance, and coordination, and he noted that these creates conditions that can be used as an experience for other African countries.
The minister directed the park CEOs to create and implement a clear future master plan in light of the current results, particularly in regards to completing the parks’ remaining infrastructure, enhancing investment promotion activities, expanding the value chain, improving access to financing, enhancing capacity building activities, and enhancing coordination processes. He therefore urged development partners to continue providing the same level of support in order to build on this success.
In the discussion, Dr. Abdul Kamara, the deputy director of the African Development Bank for eastern region, Mrs. Lelise Neme, the commissioner of the investment commission, Dr. Yifru Yibeltal of the Agricultural Transformation Institute, the CEOs of the regional integrated agro parks, representatives of the development partner organization, and invited guests participated in the discussion.
